What’s your favorite thing about Hyde Park?
Absolutely love the parks and taking walks where we can enjoy the “village” feel of the architecture and community.
Tell us about your Kids!
We have 3 girls who are 12, 10, and 5 – each one is so different but they have a common love for caring for animals/people in need, travel adventures, and superhero movies.

Favorite things to do with your kids around town (can be outside of HP)?
Indulging in the awesome, bustling food scene or slowing down to explore the trails in Ault Park or shops in either various the town squares.
Do you have a favorite local store, fitness class or restaurant you like to attend frequently? What makes this local business so special?
Our family loves Green Farm Juicery, Forno, 3501 Seoul, Sleepy Bee, and Awakenings coffee. These homegrown brands are the perfect balance of artistic atmosphere and creative food.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
Yes! I’m the founder and owner of a national wellness-brand: Arkadiance Integrated Skin Care that heals skin from the inside and out with natural formulas. Our skin care line is 93% Plant-based and our pure, concentrated supplements never have any fillers. I’ve spent the last decade looking for natural solutions for my and my daughters’ eczema-prone skin. I couldn’t find a natural product that delivered a beautiful experience so I created it. Arkadiance delivers ancient, proven ingredients in exquisite, science-based formulas.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Hyde Park is full of intelligent, creative people and I love the support from friends and neighbors personally and professionally. I found out about your site from my awesome neighbor Laura!
As a busy Mom who works full time, how do you make the most of your time with your kids?
My husband and I try to be intentional with our time with the kids. We have dinner together as a family 6 out of 7 nights as a week and get them ready every morning. We are blessed as business owners to own our schedule so we flex to priorities such as school performances, field trips, and being home if the kids are sick. Also, we strive for one on one time for each girl at least once a week. Could be a simple walk around the neighborhood, cooking something together, or a special dinner date.
What is the best advice you have received as a Mom?
To trust my instincts.
What is the best advice you would like to give to a new Mom?
It doesn’t get easier so try to enjoy the ride. The anxieties we all have about taking care of our kids are healthy and genetically programmed into us. Worrying about your kids just means you are an involved and caring parent. However, lately I’ve decided to only get invested in issues that are at least a 6 on a 1-10 scale. If we get involved every issue and interaction, we can’t be our best selves. I’m grateful my parents gave me the space to make my own mistakes and figure out how to succeed.
